New Zealand Diploma in Information Technology Technical SupportThe programme will prepare learners with the necessary knowledge and skills for a career in the Information Technology (IT) technical support. The learners will acquire broad vocational knowledge and practical skills, with an in-depth understanding of core and technical IT concepts. Upon completion, the graduates will be able to understand the IT environment, appreciate the needs of users, and provide IT technical support. They will also be able to demonstrate appropriate professional ethics and practices independently or as a part of a team.
Diploma in Computer Systems Support (Advanced)
Diploma in Electrical Engineering The Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Level 7) is developed for candidates who have knowledge and background of electrical engineering with a completed course of study in electrical engineering at Level 5, or with equivalent skills and knowledge, and want to develop more specialist knowledge and skills, as per requirements of the industry. The purpose of qualification is to provide skilled graduates to different sectors of the electrical engineering industry including telecommunication and networks; and electronics and embedded systems. The program aims to produce graduates which are fit to provide services in the global and New Zealand's electrical industry. Graduates with specialization in telecommunication and networks will have the knowledge and practical skills needed to fulfil current requirements of the telecommunication and enterprise networks industry including the needs of: optical fibre installers; telecommunication and network engineers and technicians; and enterprise network administrators. Graduates with specialization in electronics and embedded systems will be able to provide services in electronic product development, design, implementation, PCB construction, and testing in the global and New Zealand's industry of electronics and embedded systems.
New Zealand Diploma in BusinessThe purpose of this qualification is to provide New Zealand business entities with people who have general and specialised business knowledge and skills that can be applied in a range of operational roles. Graduates will benefit New Zealand business entities by contributing to the achievement of entities' operational objectives, through the application of knowledge and skills, in an ethical manner, in a bi- and multi-cultural environment. In addition, graduates will have specialised knowledge and skills for application in operational roles in New Zealand business entities, depending on which strand is achieved.

Evidence of Citizenship, permanent residence, or eligibility to study

New Zealand Citizen:
  • New Zealand Birth Certificate, or
  • New Zealand Passport, or
  • Certificate of New Zealand Citizenship, or
  • A statement of Whakapapa showing your full name and date of birth and countersigned by a kaumatua, or
  • Birth Certificate with place of birth stated as Cook Islands, Niue or Tokelau
New Zealand Permanent Resident: Passport with current residency permit
Australian Citizen: Australian Passport, or Australian Birth Certificate – only if you were born before August 1986, or Certificate of Australian Citizenship
Australian Permanent Resident:Passport with current residency permit
Refugee Status: A document from Immigration New Zealand confirming refugee status. (Should evidence of NZ permanent resident also be required then a passport with a current residency permit or a letter from Immigration New Zealand confirming permanent resident status will need to be provided.)
2 Change of name: Where a birth certificate, passport or certificate of NZ citizenship has been provided and there has been a change of name since that document was issued, a marriage certificate, dissolution of marriage certificate or statutory declaration document will also be needed in order to confirm current details.
3 Either your NZQA record of learning, your original academic transcript or a certified copy of either document. ICA reserves the right to contact any institution holding relevant academic records to confirm information supplied.
